Vintage Bridal Photo Shoot In A Horse Yard

What a great day this was! Two stunning girls, one amazing photographer, some beautiful hair accessories and earrings and vintage handmade dresses which are priceless.

The dresses unfortunately have no labels so we don't know who have done the amazing work of creating them. They were purchased via eBay by Nadia at Bridal Adornment. She also lent us the hair accessories and the earrings which complimented the looks really well.

I organised this shoot and found all the perfect people to collaborate with - the result is stunning and I could not wish for a better team.

Vintage makeup is gradually becoming one of my favourite makeup styles. A nice winged eyeliner and a red lips is mostly what defines a vintage look. Pale face and a washed out blush also can be a little addition to the look. However you can play with makeup to your heart’s content so a little twist and more definition is what I went for these looks. In fact I chose a more natural yet full lip for one of the models. I think that it is important to remember not everybody suits or feels comfortable wearing red or dark lipstick altogether. Especially if you want to wear a vintage bridal dress but don’t want to wear red lips that should be absolutely okay and your call.

The horses are called Meggi and Manni – they were superstars, although they did not really get involved much and were more amused with themselves.

I’m grateful that I could use my in law’s horse yard for this shoot as it turned out to be a perfect location with the hay, the horses, and the fields. I was looking for a bran at first as I thought that a vintage look will go with a barn location perfectly but it proved to be difficult to find a barn in a short amount of time and also collaborate with people who actually appreciate the team and the effort everyone has put in.

I’m so thankful for Helen Griffin who is an amazing photographer for stepping in last minute to save the day. Helen was my wedding photographer 5 years ago and we have kept in touch ever since because she is just awesome.
This is my first blog and I do find it hard to write but I have so much to share that I thought I should go for it and write. Although I had a little encouragement from Emma from Purple Rose Photography who I did a shoot with just recently.
